10 reams of paper + 12 pens = $15 + free delivery - DEAL HAS ENDED

ShareThis

NOTE: As of 3/17/2007, the big deal on paper has ended.

You can still apply this code: 044141777 and get $10 off any $25 purchase. For now, anyway.

This has got to be one of the best deals I've found in quite a while. 10 reams (500 sheets/ream) of good-quality Xerox paper for just $15 and FREE delivery. It's all thanks to Office Depot and the wonderful world of Coupon stacking. The 12 pens were my choice (they're $0.79) but just add any itme for under $1 and you'll get the amazing deal. Here's how to grab a great deal.

First, go here and add 10 to the quantity box.

Next, continue shopping and find something you want for around $1. I chose pens, you could get Scotch Tape or anything else that takes your fancy.

Now you're ready to check out. Hit the Apply Coupons box and insert this code: 073649244

When you go back to the checkout screen, hit the Apply Coupons box again and add this one: 044141777

Now you should get a screen that looks something like this...

It works out at roughly $15 for all your paper, your pens and your delivery before tax. When you consider that this Xerox paper is usually around $5.50 per ream, it's practically stealing from Office Depot. I'm not sure how long this deal is available for, so get it now folks.

Hate to tell ya, but in my area the paper is $3.19 x 10 = $31.90. No free shipping for me...$7.95 for shipping. The $10 is useful, but not as good of a deal for just paper. LOL

Could it be because there's like 9 Staples (I used to work for one of them), 3 Office Max, and 1 Office Depot? LOL. The competition is fierce up here.

Good bargin for other places maybe!

Not working for me -- I added the products you did, and keep getting an error message that I need to add eligible items to my cart for the coupons to work.

Guest's picture

Worked here! Actually a few cents cheaper than posted. My total was $16.69 for the exact same pens & paper.
Thanks!

Subtotal:$56.69
Delivery Fee:$0.00
Coupon:$-41.00

Thanks for the great tip--worked fine in Indianapolis. Since Office Depot is a Delta Skymiles shopping partner, I also earned a handful of freq flyer miles to boot!

$16.37 got me the 10 reams of Xerox paper, a roll of 3M tape, and free delivery, plus I put in my Office Depot Advantage number so I get a kickback on the purchase to boot. :-) Great tip, thanks much.

Looks like they caught on, as it no longer works.

The paper doesn't seem to be in stock anymore/the item doesn't exist on their website (received both error messages).

When I tried this, it said the item was no longer available online; guess I have to be quicker next time!

I was successfully able to add the paper and pen and apply the coupon codes (total cost around $17), but when I went to check on the order, they charged me the full cost of the items (around $63). Is it supposed to do that, or did Office Depot get wise about the deal?

Paper and and a pen.. $17.50. Very nice. :)

10 reams of paper + 1 ballpoint pen = $16.55. Cool!!!

Loving this deal!! Not sure what to do with 10 packs of paper and 5 sharpies, but it would be criminal not to take part in the savings. Enjoyed the purchase more than I will the product!

Paul Michael's picture

...and this time I added, wait for it, a 5" b/w portable TV for the car. The cost of the TV? Just $5.50! What is Office Depot doing?

Guest's picture

Must be based on your zip code, as several friends of mine have been successful in adding the items to their cart.

I've tried several zip codes here in Saint Louis, and it shows out of stock for all of them.

Congrats to those who are getting it to work ;)

I was just about to go pick up paper. It usually costs me $8 at the campus store for one ream. I think I'm pretty well set for the rest of my college career now. Awesome.

in canada there is $40 shipping fee, walmart is better up here :(

Guest's picture

If you're getting a $40 shipping fee in Canada, you must be trying to buy from the US site. Try officedepot.ca - the coupons still work, but it's a bit tricky to find the actual paper to add, at least in my area. When I searched for the Xerox paper, I only came across it by the box. So instead, I added the coupon first - then in your cart next to the coupon there's a button that says "select items" - when you click that it takes you to the right paper. I added 2 sharpie highlighters which was actually something like $2.49 - so my total after tax was $20.35

Thanks!

Guest's picture
Guest

I got the 7.95 shipping fee - any ideas why?

Guest's picture
phungy

Each ream was $5.79 for me so 10x$5.79 = $57.90.

Applied first coupon and got $33 off. Then applied second coupon for $9.65 off and $0.35 off the pens which were $0.89 per dozen. Total with tax and applied coupons was $16.78!! Arrives in 2 business days too! Yay!

Tried this in London, On, Canada. Shipping is $40, not free and the closest store is a 1 1/2 hour drive. Not bad if you live closer, I guess.

The link to the paper item on Office Depot now says:

The requested products are currently not available online.

Searching by keyword for the exact item shows the item in the results, but when you click it to view it, you get the same "not available online" message".

Some poor web tech probably got a call from his boss and is now frantically fiddling with the database to make this go in the memory hole.

Love it.

It just worked for me.
I didn't find any pens for under $1, so I just grabbed some 29cent paperclips.

Still working from here. My kindergarten-teaching wife thanks you.

Guest's picture

Pricing in my area put my total cost at about $25. Officedepot.com must price inventory selectively depending on what zip code you are buying from. Still, a very good deal. Thanks for the tip.

11:00pm on 3/17 Still working! $16.87 for some paper clips and 10 reams.... had to buy a single ream the other day. Kinda sad when I'm a little excited about getting a deal on paper on a Saturday night......

Still works here. Hate to be the downer here, but it doesn't seem like the 'best deal ever'. The (not on sale) Office depot brand is about $15 more (and looks like better quality paper). Still a good deal though if you use a heck of a lot of paper.

The paper coupon says it expires today, so get it before midnight! I just ordered mine and all went through just fine, delivery scheduled for Tuesday.

The site seems to be down and when i do get through on that item i get a error message saying i am not able to purchase it. So i assume they took down that item.

The rest of the site runs perfectly fine. but the paper section is a crawl and riddled with problems.

THAT SUCKS!!! I had to everything ready to go, all i had to do was click checkout. Then I go take a number 2 and when I came back It deleted everything in my shopping cart and logged me out!!! I had 500 reams ready to purchase too :[ I'm going to keep trying wish me luck. Also is there a deal like this on 11.5x17 ?? I need like 100 cases of that.

Hahaha Office Depot in Toronto (Mississauga) just called and cancelled the order I placed a couple of days ago! They said they "ran out" of paper. sure.

They must have realized what was happening.

Paul Michael's picture

...but they should honor your order, shouldn't they? Whenever I order something that's out of stock, I ask for a raincheck. Kick up a fuss, politely of course.

Guest's picture
Stever

first office depot told me that they hadn't carried the seperate reams of paper in 5 years and that I was a hacker for having codes like this.

Second, i called their customer service to get some answers and they told me that they cannot fulfill the order since the paper doesn't come seperate anymore -- they offered to cancel the order too much like Toronto Shaun.

I got them to reverse the charge -- but I still wasn't happy. I need my paper! :)

I called back and explained the situation and made note that their website should not be offering this sort of deal if Office Depot is not willing to fill it. After about 20 minutes of discussion (and lots of waiting) they finally caved and gave me the price with free shipping (previously I had to pick it up).

Thanks Paul!

Paul Michael's picture

These codes are not hacks of any kind. They are made available to the general public, otherwise the system would not accept them. They may not be very well advertised, but that's why the Internet is such a great resource. When I find another super deal I'll post it right here.

Guest's picture
Stever

no doubt -- they mentioned a site called redflagdeals.com that seems to have popped onto the radar of Office Depot for giving out codes.

I have a hunch that this $2.50 paper was a cock-up also... that or they've had a much greater use of the code than expected :)

Ten minutes ago a friendly Office Depot delivery man dropped off the loot. $17.84 for the 10 reams and 1 pen. One of the best deals ever!

omg...it's a ton of paper.

Such a deal!

UPS dropped mine off about 30 minutes ago. The UPS guy seemed a bit unhappy - turns out he's had to deliver 20 other orders of office depot paper today already and has more to go. Surprising considering I'm in a relatively smallish city. I wonder just how much of this paper Office Depot ended up shipping?

Paul Michael's picture

...due to my post, I'll feel a little bit bad. I had no idea so many people would rush out to buy the paper. Just goes to show, $5.50 a ream is too rich for most people.

Guest's picture
Jenny

The coupon expired 3/17, apparently, so no more deals!
