The credit card rewards that you can earn from purchasing travel have gone up, as card issuers continue to offer greater bonuses for travel purchases. So if you have large travel expenses (including gas, parking, public transportation, tolls, etc.), then you should consider these credit cards when making travel purchases. Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is a favorite among frequent travelers. Earn 2X points on travel and dining at restaurants & 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases. Points can be transferred at a 1:1 ratio to participating travel partners, including Southwest, British Airways, and United, and hotel partners such as Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG. Cardholders also get 20% off travel for purchases made through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal. This card has no foreign transaction fees and an introductory annual fee of $0 the first year, then $95.
