The store that I work at offers a rewards card to frequent shoppers, and there are quite a few people who refuse to sign up for it - I can understand why they wouldn't want to have another shopping card on hand, but trust me, if you regularly spend a hundred dollars in a particular store, you deserve some kind of reward. You might even be surprised how much money you actually spend at a particular store - I'm regularly handing out free gifts to shoppers who look shocked that they qualify for them.

As times get tougher, I have began to wonder how many people will turn to hunting and fishing as a means to provide food for their families. I don't think I have the stamina to track and shoot a deer, and the Seattle area really isn't that good for hunting - hipsters don't taste very good, anyway.
