I'm hoping santa will bring me a sewing machine this year.

What I want more than anything is a second bathroom! We ran out of money before finishing the second floor of our house, so the upstairs bathroom has plumbing and electricity run to it...but otherwise is just an empty room. I've asked my husband to simply install the tile floor. Then we can work on adding the sink and toilet!
I would love to receive a food processor. I am doing so much more cooking than I used to do. And I am preparing meals in batches for the freezer so that we are less tempted to eat out when we get busy or when "there's nothing in the house" to eat. A food processor would make short work of the large-scale chopping of onions, carrots, etc. I'm also trying out new dishes, and many interesting recipes call for some prep in a food processor. I've been watching sales, but haven't pulled the trigger to buy one myself. It's an expensive item for a gift, but I can dream.
I would love to receive a tablet--an iPad, a Nexus 7, or even a Kindle Fire. But I will be happy with money from my parents, which we will put in our savings account!
I would love a gift certificate for a massage. Nothing like a great massage at the end of the year to help relieve some of that stress. Or I would even enjoy a handmade coupon from a friend or family member to spend the day with them - go out to lunch, get coffee, see a movie, anything along those lines. People get so busy throughout the year, it's nice to make sure you spend time with them and catch up once in a while. :)
I always love gift cards to my favorite restaurant and coffee house. It allows for treats all year long! :)
I'm so picky, which my family knows. A gift card would be great - either a practical one for Target or my local grocery store, or if they really want to spoil me, one for Zappos (I'm in the market for new shoes!).
I want either a great stand and keyboard for my tablet or a new stand mixer. Both would be put to good use!
The gift I want most this holiday season is a down alternative comforter that was made in the U.S.
Since my husband's family does presents for adults, nearly all of my list has useful items for the home. This will allow me to turn down the heat while sleeping. Also, there is the bonus of giving fellow Americans some patronage!
I feel silly about this, but I would love an iPad. I started grad school this fall, and lugging binders full of articles around is getting to be a bit much. Plus, you know, they're fun.
I would love new pajamas for Christmas. It's something I never buy for myself. I hate spending money on something to sleep in, but I love my pjs!
i would love it if my family members would each teach me something new! I think it would be so fun to learn what they care about.
A visit to see my daughter in Phoenix. I'd forgotten how expensive it is to fly ANYWHERE from Anchorage.
I want to have the money to be able to plan a trip to visit my family and niece across the country in 2013!
More than anything? Our remodeling projects to be finished. We have a second bathroom torn apart, half our house sided and a bedroom that needs a finished floor. I've been very difficult to shop for this year.
For physical gifts, practical things for the house ~ new bedroom dressers, or a rug for the family room. For fun~ A new camera or ipad mini!
But more than anything I want a happy, peaceful, healthy holiday with my family! And I think that's a good possibility, so I'm sure it will be a great Christmas!
A week's paid vacation and some one at my job that will do all of my work while I am gone. Then I would be able to enjoy the time off.
I'd love another part-time job to replace the one that I recently lost. That would be a much better present than any object that could fit under the tree!
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to take my kids to Disneyworld for Christmas! But I'll be happy with a Large plate of homemade cookies!!!
Someone to come and clean my apartment!
The holidays are more enjoyable (for me) if my apartment is neat and tidy... and I'm not good at neat and tidy :(
What I would really REALLY love thisChristmas is an Amazon gift card. I have a stack of eBooks on my Amazon wishlist that I never seem to get around to ordering, opting instead to check out free library eBooks. If you happen to speak to Santa, put in a good word for me!!
I always wish for the same thing: to be surrounded by my grown kids and grandson, my family. That hasn't happened for many years because they all live in distant states and we can't afford to bring them together. Sometimes we go for three or four years before we can see our one grandchild, who's now 12. The holidays are kind of depressing because of so much emphasis on buying stuff; it's a lot of stress on people. I wish people would value more just being satisfied with being together with family members. Every Christmas, I just try to keep in mind who's birthday it is.
I love to have an ipad or a kindle ebook reader. It's a must have for me as I spend a lot of time reading books. So I have to have something that I could carry away and read wherever I am.
I travel a lot so an ebook reader or tablet might help me a lot. .....
Ohhhh... I wish to have one of these items so much....
Let's see what happens.
I want my Parents (who are visiting and staying with me this year) to not see how impoverished my fiance and I am. We are barely keeping our head above water financially; trying to provide the world for our 10 month old while battling our debts. My parents have helped quite a bit but I want them to leave with nothing but warm memories and worry free (as much as a parent can be)
I would like to have an equestrian riding arena put in on my property for Christmas! Somewhere I can ride and enjoy my property without having to haul my horse off the farm.
Honestly, what I want most is a more intangible thing: good health! My husband and I have both been struggling with illness, and it's been rough. If I had to pick a more material gift I would say a gift card to a grocery store, gas station, or restaurant.
I know this may sound stupid to most people, but the thing I want most for Christmas this year, is for my family to come with me to church the Sunday before Christmas. Everyone is a member, so I'm not asking them to go against their beliefs by joining me. It's been a couple of years now of going on my own, and although there are lots of great people around me, I still get lonely. I don't think it'll happen, but I still hope.
We really want a new food processor - we've just about worn our little out and we use it all the time to save money by making our own food!
