I have finished almost all of my back to school shopping, except for jeans. I always wait until August for jeans because there are usually many B1G1 free sales.

We really don't do back to school shopping since we're homeschoolers, but I have all their books and some new clothes for fall that fit, since they've grown over the summer, again! :) It's one more way that I LOVE homeschooling!

We finished our back to school shopping about a month before the school year began last week. The most expensive item, or category, were the clothes my daughter needed.

I'm starting grad school this fall, so I have a fair bit of back to school shopping to do. This weekend I finished buying books, but I still need to grab a few pens, binders, hole-punches, etc. I'm hoping to finish up this weekend!

I have finished buying all of the clothing items that my daughter needs except for socks and anything her teachers say she needs for school supplies. She will be shopping at home first for those. We have more mismatched sets of colored pencils and markers than I care to admit.

Got the all-important kindergarten backpack, but there is one thing on the list left. A box of 5 oz. cups.

I'm still picking up little things along the way, with some of the amazing doorbuster sales. I don't have any little ones in school, but I have a close friend who's a teacher and she and her students are really appreciative of my efforts.

My daughter is starting her final year of under grad, so my only shopping was books. Yes, I'm done, and I'm broke. Two of her books were almost $200 each used.

My "kids" are grown ups now, but that didn't mean no back to school shopping for me. My 83-year old mom, the World's Cutest Boyfriend (mine), and I enjoyed a shopping trip for school supplies for a local school. Since we are so far removed from school days, we had a great time picking out crayons, markers, disposable mechanical pencils, colorful notebooks and folders, etc. for 2 fifth-grade boys. The WCB and I have lots of friends who are still raising school-age kids (and grandkids) so we try to help them out too. So, we hit a few clearance racks with our list of sizes and got back-to-school shirts for 1 girl and 7 boys. We had a great time picking things that "matched" their personalities. It brought back memories of the Good Old Days for me -when my "boys" were little guys. AND it lets these kids know that they are important to us, and we have hopes for their happiness and success.

I haven't finished yet, because some things can wait. I am waiting for more deals to combine.

My family finished back-to-school shopping, and we saved a lot of money. A local grocery store had an aisle full of low priced back-to-school supplies (up to 50% off compared to retail shopping stores). Also, we looked for polos and jeans on sale at one retail shop. If they were not on sale, we didn't buy any items. Last but definitely not least we did an in-home inventory. For example, we didn't buy packs of #2 pencils because we already had plenty in the house. We also looked at all clothes that still fit our son, and if they were in good shape and fit, then why buy more clothes?

Since we homeschool, I shop for deals year around. I buy "Back To School" specials in the fall, (The best for office suppies: paper, pens, usb etc) Holiday clearance in the winter (best for art materials, craft kits, clothes & stationary), In the spring & summer, we take road trips & stop by consignment shops & yard sales while traveling though the states. We found super deals on textbooks, art supplies, homeschool workbooks etc.. while doing this. Our kids love getting a new book or an educational science kit as a souvenir of their travels. When my homeschool closet gets too full from all my bargains, I clear it out and donate to The Boy Scouts & to the Church's Youth groups. By doing it this way, I stay basicly full of all needed materials & the money is spread out over the year, not breaking the bank at the begining of the school year.

Mostly done. There are a couple of supplies that are supposed to go on mega-sale next week that I'm waiting to get. We've picked up some new clothes to fill in wardrobe gaps or that were on a good clearance, plus new shoes and glasses. I try to avoid buying all new wardrobes at back-to-school because of cost. Instead we shop for whatever's needed every other month or so.
