WiFi for travelers is often not just a necessity, but a stress-reliever. However, whether you’re using in-flight WiFi or adding Internet to your hotel stay, it can become a costly expense. Thankfully, there are credit cards that offer travelers a way to receive free Internet service.

Expedia®+ Voyager Card from Citi

The Expedia®+ Voyager Card from our partner Citi offers customers a $100 annual air travel fee credit that can be used toward in-flight Wi-Fi service as well as for airline incidentals, even including the Global Entry or TSA Pre✓ application fee. Other benefits include 4x points for each dollar spent on eligible Expedia purchases, 2x points for dining out and entertainment, and one point per dollar spent on other purchases. New applicants also earn 25,000 Expedia+ bonus points after spending $2,000 in purchases within three months of account opening. There is a $95 annual fee for this card.

The Hyatt Credit Card

Holders of the Hyatt Credit Card receive Discoverist status in the World of Hyatt, which includes free premium internet service. Cardholders earn 3x points for all Hyatt charges, 2x points at restaurant, airline tickets purchased directly from an airline, and car rental agencies, and one point per dollar spent all other purchases. New cardholders receive 40,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in purchases within three months of account opening, and 5,000 bonus points after adding an authorized cardholder who makes a purchase during the first three months. There is a $75 annual fee for this card, and no foreign transaction fees.

Discover it® Miles

The Discover it® Miles card offers customers a $30 annual statement credit toward in-flight Wi-Fi on any airline, and it's credited automatically when you make an in-flight Wi-Fi purchase. Cardholders also earn 1.5 miles per dollar spent on all purchases, and each mile can be redeemed for one cent each as statement credits toward travel reservations. This card offers 14 months of 0% APR financing on new purchases as well as benefits such as purchase protection, extended product warranty, and price protection. There is no annual fee for this card and no foreign transaction fees.
