You also can remove wine from the box and put chicken with onion and other stuff and put it in the fire (yes, the wine box directly to the fire like in your 2nd picture but directly on the fire). The wine box will never get burnt because the difference of temperatures between outside and inside (that has vegetables and chicken fluids).
