Reputation: | With so many dual income families barely making ends meet an article like this one is important to consider. Instinctively I think a number of couples already know this but when you are in a high cost state like California or New York and include FICA taxes, the tax on marginal income is over 50% for many couples. Reputation: | This week we have covered "The Witch of Wall Street - Henrietta "Hetty" Green." Over the last couple of years folks have become increasingly cautious about spending. For good reasons that is - losing employment, sinking portfolios, negative house equities and the list goes on. Frugality is in - bigtime! Suddenly, we, Americans have become frugal But do you know who was the first Queen of Frugality? Her name is Henrietta "Hetty" Green. She lived from 1834-1916.
