Default How Many Blogs Do You Have?

I'm thinking about starting other blogs, on different topics than my current blog (GOTO Fashion), and I thought it'd be interesting to see how many other bloggers on Wise Bread have multiple blogs and the topics of your blogs.

I only have 1 blog right now. In fact, I only just started my first blog a month ago. Unless you count my MSN spaces one that I posted about 5 times on 2 years ago and that was only read by my cousins.

But I have 2 other websites to tend to already (Franga Designs, our pet clothing and costume store; and Mozartini, our CafePress store.)

I love starting and working on new websites and get really hooked and spend way too much time on them, which is what I've been doing the past month with my current blog, so I probably won't be starting another one any time really soon.

My sister and I are thinking about starting a music-related blog in the not-too-distant future about music theory, music history and study (classical music).

I have one blog but aside from that I have over 12 sites I currently operate and countless domain names. Don't think you won't have time for more sites, you will. They are fun and you'll enjoy blogging for multiple topics.

I'm curious if people choose to use one format (hosted/stand-alone/which platorm/etc.) for all their stuff or if you have a variety? Why did you choose what you did? Thanks for all the input!

I have three, but one is very neglected at the moment.

All three of my blogs are on the same host with their own domains. I like having the control I have by being on my own, rather than on Blogger or Wordpress.com. And having all of my sites on one hosting plan keeps the costs down. Being Frugal is the only site that sees a fair amount of traffic, so I don't have to worry too much about going over my bandwidth limit.

The statistics on this poll are very interesting - 40% have one, 40% have four or more, and 20% have 3. Emboldened by this, I took the plunge and started several more blogs. I figure I can post now and work out the details later as I go along.

I now have 6 - maybe that's overkill?!? I just have a lot of different interests! If it turns out to be unmanageable, I'll cut one or two out.

My head kind of swims when I think about them right now - thinking about different to-dos for each blog. How do you all with 4 or more blogs keep it all straight?

I have a printed sheet with all my domains and web sites. I try to go down the list and work on various ones each day. I apply the 80/20 rule to the site that makes the most money via Google Adsense and update those daily and always tweak the ones with the most traffic. The slower sites I give time to help them grow but focus on the big boys first.

I also have a binder with a to-do list of sorts for each site. When I feel like working on a big project for my site then I know what I have in mind but when I just want to spend fifteen minutes I'll find that too on my list and bang it out.

I use a shared hosting package so I can host multiple domains under one package -- addon domains.

I have a lot of blogs. It is a problem for me since my attention is being scattered on a lot of these. I am thinking of just getting all posts and put it one so that I can focus on only one.
