I would post links to your blog on Twitter. I often check out blog entries, when I see that they are dealing with my interests.

Default Time Management

Great post topic, btw! You're talking to the King of Not Much Time!

There are so many aspects to my business that keep me away from computer/ online stuff. If you only have 2 hours a week, you will have to be both PATIENT and DICIPLINED. My best suggestion would be to pick one or at most two soc med platforms - ask around which would be best for you.

Second, prioritize what's URGENT and what's just PLAY/ NON-PRODUCTIVE. A lot of stuff you can just let slide, other stuff you'll have to do for networking. Additionally have a clear GOAL and a plan AND STICK TO IT.

What will hopefully happen, is a) you'll free up some more time b) eventually you'll have some good momentum going, and c) you may be very lucky and find other networkers willing to help you - possibly on a you scratch my back kinda deal.

Hope this helps - short on time can't post more!

Thanks for the info Merchant Barter. I am becoming better at prioritizing, so luckily I'm not wasting as much time as before. As for networking, I'm just getting up earlier every morning just for that reason alone. I get up 30 minutes earlier so that I can use that time to network and quickly skim other blogs for great topics, then comment. That seems to be working.

I can understand that you're short on time-
thanks again-

I take each day and break it down into segments. And then each week as well. Sounds difficult but it isn't. I allow myself 'segments' of time for my blog, submitting articles, posting to forums, facebook, twitter and only stay within that time segment. Yes, there are some interruptions but that is just like anything else you do -- I have my segments set up on my calendar, which is right near my desk... and it really does help.

Thanks TCharm Lady,
I see what you're saying. It makes sense to set aside specific blocks of time. I only have the mornings and sometimes the evenings, total amount of time is maybe an hour to an hour and a half.

How much time do your blocks add up to? I'm just curious if I'm a slow-poke or if I'm blogging and networking at an average pace.

thanks-
Little House

Hi littlehousevalley, My segments are in 1/2 hour increments. I also just noticed that you are able to connect Facebook to Twitter. So that will save some time!

That sounds like it may be helpful. However, I'm kinda keeping my blog on the down low with family and friends. I know, it's silly that I'm perfectly comfortable with strangers reading my blog, yet a little uncomfortable with family and friends. I guess I'm concerned they might be critical of my posts!

thanks again,
Little House

'keeping your blog on the down low with family and friends' .... I just have to tell you that most of my success started with referrals from my family and friends. That is a whole group of people that will help you to succeed. If you are proud and confident with your product, info or service - that will help your family and friends to feel the same way.

Thanks TCharm Lady.

You're right, the biggest reason it was on the down low was due to my husband. Though, now he's coming around and I think he realizes that my posts are intelligent. Especially now that I've guest posted here and on another person's blog. So, I may soon be able to share with friends and family.

thanks again for your comment-
