Reputation: | I am a new blogger, though not new to writing about personal finance. Please check out my blog when you get a chance. My soon to be released book (Dec 09) is titled The Millionaire Nurse. In it, I provide basic personal finance information directed towards nurses. I direct my blog posts mainly towards nurses and others in the medical field as well-although all are welcome. My passion is teaching those Florence Nightingale types, dedicated servants all, the importance of managing their money to get out of debt and build wealth-in a common sense way. I also have a free ebook available at my home website, www.themillionairenurse.com entitled "Emergency Money Resuscitation". Go grab a copy now. Follow me on Twitter @DrDeanBurke Thanks for the opportunity to share my information. |

Reputation: | My blog, http://downturnliving.com began as a sort of personal journal to get my own life on track. For me, the writing is a bit like self medicating and it keeps me on track to change some pretty bad habits. I hope to make it a win win arrangement with readers by offering content that may be as helpful to them as waking up to a financially self destructive lifestyle was to me. While there is information on the site about living a more frugal lifestyle, the focus is really geared to living more responsibly over all by making your life sustainable, whether by becoming debt free, living below your means and saving or participating in community farming because it is both cost effective and healthier for us and the planet. It's about limiting waste, losing the stress habit of collecting stuff for the sake of having stuff and overcoming the pressures applied by popular media, government programs and fashionable trends to put our money in their pockets without a return on the investment. It's about exercising common sense in the face of carefully researched marketing programs. i would really appreciate any feedback I can get from the experts that are here. This is all new to me and I can't believe how much I have been enjoying the interaction with this new world.

Reputation: | Nice, I'm glad to find that I already subscribe to some of your feeds such as cash money life. I'll have to check out the rest. Hi all, I've started a personal journey of 1 year toward financial freedom. As it is, I'm in quite an american debt trap! My blog is at http://www.365daystofinancialfreedom.com Twitter: @freemefinancial It serves a dual purpose of keeping me on track (counter and all) as well as hopefully serving as a reference for others. I'm still wasting time finding the right wordpress template and customizing it. I can't wait to be 'done' tweaking it and move on to spending more time with research, writing and action!
