Reputation: | Does anyone else here use the social bookmarking sites to get your blog name out there? I checked out a few today and I've got reddit and digg working now. I've had a few hits through them too, not bad for a first day. Anyone have any advice about these sites? Any good ones you'd like to share? Thanks! Amanda

Reputation: | It depends on your type of content, but I find the best social bookmarking traffic comes from stumbleupon. I've had success with front page of reddit and digg, and all it does it send a massive amount of traffic that doesn't stick around. BUt if you have the right kind of post, you can make that more effective.

Reputation: | I think it does. Indirectly. Alexa (and Google's PR) are general indicators of a website's "popularity". Social bookmarking could help raise the exposure of a blog/website, which indirectly leads to better rankings. |
