Suggestions for More Traffic?

Thanks for these great tips. Are there any articles you recommend for learning how to best list your site with search engines? I am *so* just starting out and I'm sure I'm making some glaring mistakes but I'm having to do things piece meal as I have time (like the rest of you I'm sure!)

I started promoting my blog this week and noticed that when I posted a link for my grocery store matchups on a website's forum that was dedicated to a particular grocery store that I used in my matchup, that my site traffic shot up considerably. Finding an audience with a specific interest that correlates seems to be a good start.

I thought that all my facebook friends would be more interested... alas, not so much! What jerks, those childhood friends! :P Haha.

Writing in this forum is one way of getting more traffic, but you have probably already noticed that by now

Do analysis and optimize your site according to the results generated on the first step and usually local and long tail keywords would be more successful and convert better.
