I am also new to blogging - I started one today, in fact. I plan on detailing my life in terms of debt and other personal finance. I am also new to these forums, so I hope to make a lot of new connections with the posters here!

I'm thinking of getting started in blogging, but I have too many ideas & need to narrow it down to something manageable. I love reading all your comments & hope to be able to share my blog with you soon! Here are some ideas I'm tossing around. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

- Personal development - I know there are a ton of sites out there, but this is something I do, so I figure I can write about it.
- College life & education - also something I have a lot of experience with since I've never left college!
- Musings on being a step-parent - a little different than the average parenting site, but maybe too small a niche? This is something I live every day & the kids certainly provide me with lots of stories and things to share, but I'm still not sure about this one.
- Work/life balance - again, already a lot out there, but is there room for one more?

Thanks for all your posts & I look forward to getting to know you better - and learning a few things - on your blogs!

Hi Lucy, you might find the thirty day challenge interesting. I only discovered it yesterday but it's looking really good, it helps you find your niche and lots more.

Thanks, amandajane! I'll check that out. Also, checked out your frugal life blog & love it! I left you a comment/suggestion on your post about leftovers. Hope you find it useful. I'll definitely be visiting your blog again!

Hi Amanda,
Both of your blogs are really beautiful and very informative. As a fellow gardener...loved the tomato seed saving! The photo collages are stunning.
My blog is really really brand new and has no info on it yet, just the shell is up and running for now. I loved learning how to put it together and tear it down. So much fun in fact, I could not think of what I wanted to post on the actual blog - just tearing it down and rebuilding it. It reminds me of the Sims game LOL!
The info-less blog is: Sweet Peas and Purls
Being a beginner at blogging and reading blogs the RSS thing really was something I totally always ignored on a blog since I had no clue what it was. Maybe you could also offer an email update subscription through FeedBurner on your blogs?
Best Wishes,
Marion

I'd love to read your blog and leave some comments. I know how nice it is to get some feedback on the stuff you're writing. Check mine out too!

I've now left comments on both your blogs, and added them to my daily reads.

Thank you Marion :0)

I'm thinking of figuring out a Feedburner, I hadn't used an rss reader until a couple of weeks ago. I'll see what I can do!

I've just checked out your site, very nice, I love the beautiful header image. It goes well with your theme and content. You have a forum too, great fun!
