I've spent years doing a private family blog, but just recently started a not so private blog! A place to talk about my work, special education, tips for parents, savings deals, etc!

ifonlyihadsuperpowers.blogspot.com Because I feel like I need super powers to do everything!

Talking Blogs: A Mixed Bag of Love &... Hard Work

I started seriously doing my blog, pennypinscher.net, in January. I've watched my subscribers painfully limp up to 16. One day I had a whopping 56 hits in one day. My adsense account is the phenomenol amount of almost $3. Meanwhile, I am blogging almost everynight to put up new material. I've gotten myself so tired from staying up late that I started falling asleep everywhere I sat down. Then I got sick.

Now I'm trying to pace myself. I'm here for the long haul. I used to write professionally (I'm sure you can tell by the spelling) so to me it's frustrating to get paid so little for so much work. I keep reminding myself, it's an investment. 16 subscribers is better then none. If I saw $3 blowing in the wind I would definately chase it down.

I just wish I could get a better click through ratio on my ads. I'm still struggling to understand all of this. Any advice is ALWAYS welcome, BTW. I'm glad to have this oportunity to pick so many experienced brains.

Thanks, and good luck to us all!
Angela

Hi everyone,

I recently started a frugal living and personal finance blog with money saving tips on various aspects of everyday life, frugal decorating and craft ideas, recipes and more.

I am interested in exchanging blogroll links with similarly themed blogs. Please PM me or contact me through my website if you'd like to exchange links.

Our Fourpence Worth

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Default Fashion Blog Feedback?

I may be a little late to the party here, but I would really appreciate hearing what others have to say about my new blog, GOTO Fashion. I generally post daily, and it takes me about 1 hr per post since I have to search for examples of outfits and accessories.

I use pictures from my affiliate advertisers to provide examples of my recommendations, and I've spiced up the sidebar with tools, an archive, and banner ads. The pictures are larger than I'd like, but the quality and convenience (and, of course, the potential for revenue ) make up for that in my eyes. The featured items tend to be a bit pricey, so I include more budget-friendly alternatives in my Amazon.com astore and post a link to the page at the end of most posts (also available through the link "GOTO Fashion Must-Haves").

In general, I'd like feedback on the layout and post content, and tips on how to shorten post-writing time. Any other tips would also be appreciated.

P.S. - Amanda, I didn't mean to hijack your thread with my last post. My comments on your blog may be a little scattered, but here they are:
I like the simple and uncluttered design of your blog. Also, your pictures are really nice and high-quality - the onion bhaji especially looks terrific! I also liked the record bowl idea - it was completely unexpected!

Default My blog

Hi!

I think this thread is a great idea!

I've just recently (this week) started posting to my blog daily. My goal every day is to just post something -- to not insist on "perfection" (doesn't exist); to just get something out there. And I'm always surprised how fulfilled I am!

Anyway, here's my blog, with my reflections on every day life, technology, and my software projects: What Works For Me.

Sweet!
Sean
