Why do you blog?

I blog because I want to share my ideas about self-empowerment, wealth mastery and entrepreneurial leadership. And of course to make some money while doing what I love.

I do it because I enjoy writing, because I can make a nice second income from it, and because i know I can help people with the things I've learned.

We have friends with 5 kids and a single income. She stated whenever she reads in the paper on the web "the 5 ways to save" or "10 ways to spend less", she is already doing it. She didn't believe there was any more to do.

Professionally I teach millionaire business owners how to make more and spend less using the principles of Lean Management made famous by Toyota Motor Corp. When they think they can't get any leaner, I show them how.

I learned personally that these same principles can be applied to one's life with huge success. Inspired by a friend's statement, it is simply a passion for what I believe that drove me to blog.

Plus it gives me something to do while sitting in a hotel room!

I blog because I wanted to detail my journey to becoming a homeowner. I'm finding that I really enjoying writing. I love sharing information with others, like some really cool alternative house plans I've found. I'd like to make some money as well, but I'm not expecting this to happen for a year or so. I'm trying to be realistic!

Yes, it is great to share your ideas and thoughts. It is very challenging these days though.

I started out blogging because I had to due to my job. (I'm co-host of a daily radio show)

But now I actually enjoy it, and it's fun to see how many people read what you've written.

Great question!

I blog for a few reasons:

1) To write down ideas/thoughts/questions and get it out of my head -- GTD style.

2) To journal memories that I can read and "remember" a year from now.

3) To share solutions with others -- if I've worked through the problem and found an answer, maybe someone else is going through the exact same problem and can benefit from the solution.
