Wordpress or Blogger?

I wanted to start my own personal blog. Should I use wordpress or blogger? What is the difference.

WordPress. If you do a search or just scroll through this board (Blogger's Corner), you'll find lots of threads on this topic and why lots of people recommend WP.

I just started using wordpress to put together my blog. It is super easy to figure out even for complete noobs.

Much prefer Blogger myself. There are many benefits to using the platform owned by Google. Since I moved to Blogger from building static sites I have had no problems whatsoever. The free hosting on their server has always been great, the blogs rank well in Google so long as you spend time link building and it is a very easy to construct blogs with minimal experience. Obviously if you want plugins and better themes then Wordpress is the way to go.

Although Wordpress is the king in SEO optimization, but when you are on blogger you guarantee that you will never about Melware infections nor SQL injections

I like Wordpress. From the blogs I have seen, you can get a more professional and varied look with this program and also appears allows for great flexibility*. The catch however is that you will need to have your own host. It doesn't cost much but it is a trade off. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for you great help, I just started my wordpress blog all about fashion jewelry. Wordpress looks nice and there's a lot of option, I used blogger before but not really contented enough. Have heard more good things about wordpress so I decided to switch. thanks everyone again.

Firstly, do you mean wordpress.com or wordpress.org? Wordpress offers both a free blogging service like blogger and a self-hosted software that can be used to make professional blogs.

I think it depends on whether the blog is primarily recreational, or intended to draw in substantial income.

If someone just wants to make a blog to share their thoughts, it definitely makes sense to go with a free one like wordpress.com or blogger. I think I would personally go with blogger, as it's owned by google. If you really want a professional-looking, flexible blog or site, then wordpress.org is right for you.

wordpress.com is the king in SEO optimization, but blogger is easy to customize template (css, html) and add ads.

really? I always thought blogger was better for seo because google owns it? also I heard wordpress doesn't allow affiliate links?
