Default Cheap SanDisk MP3 players $10 SHIP Free

I got one of these for my 9-yr-old. Works well, and they're cheap enough to give to a younger child or have as a backup. Reconditioned but no problems so far. $10 today plus free shipping (Free if you are using Google checkout first time.)

I bought a 1GB version on Woot a couple of weeks ago. I've been very pleased with it so far. The interface is fairly intuitive. Overall, I've found it wasy to use and a good buy if you're looking for an inexpensive MP3 player.

I'm a complete MP3 novice, so I'm wondering:

Would this MP3 player be able to take most formats? I'm looking to download podcasts, and I don't really grasp whether I have to get an Apple or if the "pod" part of podcast doesn't really apply to iPod.

Thanks for your help. I can't believe that I've turned into an old, technologically out-of-date person.

This player, like other non-iPod's plays the Mp3 files. I had to convert my purchased itunes into a format playable on it. To know if the file will work, see if you can add it to your Microsoft Media Library (where i store my files.) There are plenty of free and legitimate file conversion tools online. It takes some time, but you should be able to play anything on it, assuming you own it outright....

P.S. I'm a novice too... Once you get it converted, it is snap to syn your library to the Sandisk player.

Thanks for sharing the link, but great deals always too fast...I just went to go check it out and the item is showing currently unavailable from the manufacturer.

Most podcasts are delivered as mp3 files. if you are using iTunes, you can look in the podcasts directory and see folders for all of the different podcasts, and in those are the mp3 files.

Give it a week or so, most things at around $10 on buy get sold out due to the GCO $10 off offer, but are often relisted later on. The 1gb SD cards have come and gone so often its like a yoyo.
