Reputation: | Is it "buy one, get one free", coupons for cents or dollars off an item purchased? Or are you swayed by percentages--75% off? When is a deal really a deal? I like "buy one, get one free" or 50+ percent off an item but I hate "buy one, get second at half price". Even someone as poor at math as I am can figure out that is around a 25% discount which in the world of discounts is barely worth a glance. |

Reputation: | I generally don't like deals that encourage me to buy more than I need, so "buy one and get the second one at half price" isn't very attractive to me (unless it is for something I'll definitely use like soap). I also like deals that are easy to cash out. If I have to jump through a lot of hoops with rebates, coupon codes, and affiliate links, I will probably just not buy the item. That's one of the rare occasions where laziness saves me money. |

Reputation: | I like Kroger's "10 for $10" sales. It always catches my eye and gets me to buy. |

Reputation: | I'm a fan of the percentage off deals. Especially 60+. Though I get more excited when I see those 'spend 50 bucks, and get 10 dollars off your next purchase.' type deals for some reason. I guess it's because I think I'll be able to go to the store, get great deals, and be rewarded with another deal for spending a certain amount. I am almost always disapointed with the 'spend 50 get 10' deal, since rarely find enough stuff at the store to push me over 50,, so i end up not getting anything |

Reputation: | "Buy one get one free" always catches my eye. "Outlet" also makes my heart paliptate (ha) but I've noticed with clothing stores, many times the "up to 70% off" means that only one, ugly, dirty item is marked 70% off, the rest are just 10-20%. |

Reputation: | I prefer deals that are either high percentage off (50 or more on most things) or something that just outright gives me the price. I'm pretty good at mental math, but I always feel like the store is trying to trick me into something when they do the 10 for $10 or Buy-two-get-one-free (33% off, essentially). Which, in a way, the stores are. Not that it's deceptive, really. They're just taking into account the way most people deal with prices and respond to sales. For shopping on-line, I love free shipping offers. I hate to find something for a reasonably good price only to find that it will cost half as much (or twice as much) to ship it to me. |

Reputation: | I like deals that are bargains in the absolute sense. (that is, rather than relative to regular prices) In other words, after figuring in coupons, discounts, buy-one-get-one and so on, is the price of the item lower than what I would gladly pay to get it? That is actually the toughest way to shop because I have to weigh each purchase against an estimate of what I think it is worth. I also tend not to buy much (or even anything at all sometimes) when I go to a mall because regular prices tend to all be higher than my "gladly pay for it" prices. Last week, I scored a $6 pair of pants because of Target's 75%-off clearance sale. I'd have paid $15 for that so when I saw it, I sprang for it. Too bad that was the only one they had in my size. |

| Senior Member | Bargains for me are: B&M store: 50% or more for clothes or hard goods. Free or money maker after rebate for HBA items. Food at 50% off or more after coupon/markdown (bonus if rebate available). $2 or less for a 12pack of soda.$/$$ coupons available for at least 20% off total purchase, or combination of store and manufacturer coupons. I adore buy$$get$ back deals. Lots of free stuff or moneymakers there lately. Online: free shipping or low flat rate shipping. If its on pounds or amount I will pass for ages. I have always shipped flat rate and the new USPS flat rate small box makes it even easier. Also anything that gives cute freebies with any purchase, such as Sephora or Victoria's Secret. If I can spend $5 get makeup or panties and freebies including shipping I'm in heaven. Anything over $5 isn't a treat its too expensive to purchase, lol. I used to have lower standards for bargains but after stocking up on free food, dog food, water, etc I've become pretty spoiled and picky about what I actually spend money on. I haven't spent more than $10/week on groceries this month and just used up my last coupon for $$ off next purchase.

Reputation: | In shopping, the deals most attractive to me is those products that are presented well. Presented well in terms with the products description, quality and assurance of the service. For example in buying a clothing, it really a great deal for me as a customer that the product is well presented. Specially I am always engaged in buying a wholesale fashion apparel that makes myself satisfied every time I see it in my clothing collections. Like last March 26,2009, our graduation day, I looked in my clothing collections and found out that there's a formal dress which is appropriate to wear during my graduation. |
