Buying a Kia is only a deal until you have to fix damage from a fender bender....always has been. My mom's friend had the cheapest model in a two door standard. it was worth 5k when she hit a telephone pole. Repairs cost 3k...

I can see how that would be true. I had to get a rental once and it was a Kia Spectra... it felt so cheaply made and unsafe.

Over the weekend I bought a bedskirt with bedskirtpins(unopened) at a yard sale 4 blocks from my house for 3 bucks. It's not the colour that I was looking for, but will do for a few years.

Pretty happy with it so far since I anticipated spending MUCH more on a nice chocolate bedskirt.

Which reminds me, I gotta check craigslist to see if there're going to be anymore yard/garage sales in the area this weekend .

I got this fabulous, gigantic, spectacular sunken-style bathtub at a garage sale. Five bucks. It had never been installed, though it had been stored in a barn for years and needed some cleanup.

Of course, then I had to build an entire house to put it in.

Home Depot 1 cent items.

For those unfamiliar, when Home Depot closes out items they mark them down to 1 cent in their system and throw them out. If you can catch these items before they throw them out you can get them for 1 cent

I was on my bike last weekend and drove by a yard sale off on a dirt road. I found a handmade sofa table very western and rustic I have seen these in boutique type western furniture places. I asked how much and was told 30$ I paid for it on the spot (I pedaled home as quick as I could and got the car) I looked online to see what the true value was and it was over $1000. The woman who sold it to me, said she'd had it for a long while and just needed a change. That was a fantastic find for me!

Talking Best deal I ever got

Best deal I ever got was in April 2002. I paid 3 cents a piece for two porterhouse steaks. There was a labelling error (obviously) and the manager insisted we take the steaks for that price. I have kept the tickets off the steaks to remind myself that good things do happen. The steaks were delicious!
