Check out the awesome way you will be getting out of your car.

I would definitely consider getting one if it is available on a non-diesel engine. Not a big fan of diesel cars.

Diesels have come a long way since they first started showing up in passenger cars. Anyway, my biggest concern would probably be safety. I am prety sure the car is really light in order to get 150 mpg, and to run on a 2 cyl engine. Stack that against some of the behemoths on the road today, and it could get ugly.

Yeah, a SUV would cut through that like hot knife through butter. Then again, the same is true of SUV vs any Japanese compact vehicles that are so popular on the roads right now. So maybe you're not giving away that much in terms of safety.

$22k for that doesn't seem bad.

Safety issues aside, say you drive 15k miles per year and get 150 mpg. A 30 mpg car going the same 15k miles requires an additional 400 gallons of gas per year. At $3/gallon, that's $1,200/year in gas savings by buying the Loremo.

If there's a $10k difference in the price of the cars, is it worth it yet? On a global, let's-all-use-less-fossil-fuels sense, yes, but individually? I don't know.

What do you think?

I think I don't have $22k - $30k. Time to dust off the bike and use my mpfc (miles per fat cell).
