Default Add Some Water

I'm not quite sure if this is considered frugal or downright cheap. Bbut I like to make the contents of my bottles last longer. Whether it be shampoo or handsoap, I add some water to it to stretch it's lifetime.

I do this too, especially since DH seems to think you need 1/4 cup of shampoo every time he washes his hair, LOL. I also water down hand soaps and face wash.

Of course! As a practical matter though, it's hard to get that last bit of shampoo out of the bottle if you don't add a little water. I got that tip from my ultra-frugal parents.

We also do this with fruit juice. We mostly started doing it because most fruit juices are so sweet and it helps cut the calories per cup. But it also makes the juice last longer, so it is also frugal.

lol. I've always watered down juice and Kool-Aid just like my mom does. Juice boxes taste overpowering to me at this point. I don't normally water down beauty products but do the last bit to get it out.

I water down full fat milk, figured it's a bit like buying low fat milk but you get twice as much :0)

I water down liquid dish soap - when it's half empty, I fill it back up. I also add water to shampoo bottles when it's almost empty to get a couple more washings out of it

Water millk, water juice, water water. For shampoo and things, it helps if you start adding water when the container is about half full. You will get more product and not have that watery slush like you do when you add it when the bottle is nearly empty.

If you add distilled water to things that will sit a long time they are less likely to get rancid or stale.

We rinse out soap bottles with water to get the last bits out. I do it with liquid laundry detergent too. I can get about 3 more washings this way between what is inside and what has gooped all over the bottle of the super concentrated soap.

I always try to drink juice on ice to water it down.
