Default Cheap and healthy snack I've been eating often

I've been eating a lot of hard boiled egg whites lately. I have two for breakfast, one as a mid morning snack, and another between lunch and dinner. They are easy to prepare, they are healthy, and they cost a lot less than energy bars or protien shakes. Just thought I would share.

You inspired me to hard boil a couple eggs. I don't cook much. Baby steps.

I've been rockin' the frozen berries with a bit of condensed milk in them. If you try it with blueberries, it tastes exactly like ice cream but without the refined sugars.

TexasNative, what do you do with the egg yolks? Just curious. My sister loves hard-boiled eggs. She makes like 8 at a time and shares them with our dogs (they eat home cooked food).

We sometimes make this sauce and dip our hard-boiled eggs in it (it's Chinese - my mom used to make it):
  • sesame oil
  • soy sauce
  • vinegar
  • a little sugar or sugar substitute if you like things a little sweet
Mmm ... that made me hungry. Though I prefer my eggs scrambled with tons of ketchup.

If you raise your own chickens then the eggs are SOOOOOO good. We make a lot of egg salad with homemade mayo too.

Egg yolks, cream/milk/condensed milk, sugar (or splenda if you're on a low carb diet).
