$20 on a lunch to treat yourself really isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things. If you started doing it regularly, it would be a problem. Being frugal is about saving by conserving and consuming smartly. Being frugal doesn't mean you're living an ascetic lifestyle and denying yourself everything. If you splurge occasionally to treat yourself, then you've splurged. Sometimes you have to treat yourself. You are saving up so you have the means for these little moments of joy, right?

We went out looking for a Tivo on sale and a 4gb memory stick, and found neither. All that wasted gas and it wasn't even fun becuase the sales people were arses and beyond unuseful.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's not a mortal sin if you treat yourself sometimes. What's important is that you are aware of your expenses and being conscious with that makes you most likely to be sticking with your budget.

For shame....
I went to Coldstone last night and got my favorite flavor combinations. This has become a Saturday night ritual of sorts lol

But ice cream is sooo yummy!
Yesterday, I bought a carton (on sale, at least) of Breyers from the grocery. Even though it was about 20 degrees outside, I still ate two big scoops. Yumm.
