I shop the sales on soymilk... lately I've been getting "Soy Dream" (it's a non-refrigerated kind). I believe it was on sale at meijer for 2/$5. not great, but better. It tastes really good and I enjoy mixing it into a chai tea mix I have.

I've also started buying meijer brand organic cow's milk. Overall I have found that organic milk tastes lots better than regular milk, and it doesn't spoil nearly as fast (this is awesome for me since I live by myself).

Have you tried Costco? It's also cheap at Trader Joe's.

My mom normally buys hers from Walmart where its cheapest near us. You could also try writing a letter or sending an e-mail to your favorite brand about why you like it, or another about why you don't like it as much. Many companies will send coupons out to people for feedback and you get the chance to help them make the product better.

That's definitely a good idea. I scored some free Papermate pens once, after writing a letter about how much I liked the basic black pen. Of course, in that case, it wasn't worth the postage but...with email, it might be worth a shot.

(of course, I probably can't combine this with the "soy milk from Asian grocery store" idea without learning another language!)

Also, try discount grocery stores like Food 4 Less and Food Max where the store resembles a warehouse but isn't a "club" kind of warehouse where you have to pay to shop there. I think the food prices are lower because the store isn't as pretty as most supermarkets, but they have brand name foods and a pretty varied selection.

We used to shop at Food 4 Less when we lived closer, and they had dual packs of 1/2 Gallon Silk Soy Milk for a really good price.
