Reputation: | I've been spending a lot of time on my patio with my wife's MacBook lately, forced to run the display at full brightness in order to see it in the sun. I thought about a sunshade but I didn't want to spend the money. Instead, I took a cardboard box (a case of Office Depot paper) and made one. You need the sort with the handle cut into the sides. You'll see that the outer side piece is one solid piece, but on the inside, two folded pieces from the long sides come together. Gently separate one of those pieces on each side, allowing the long side to move up & down. That is your angled hood. The freed pieces with the handle cutouts can lock into the solid side piece and give the perfect angle for viewing/shading. |
