Smile Lasik eye surgery!!!!!

I come from a long line of near-blind folk and spent the first 37 years of my life needing my glasses to find my glasses. I've performed w/ripped contac lenses b/c I couldn't wear glasses onstage...my eyes were getting worse and my contacs were getting more pricey. Oh, and I was heartbroken when my beloved glasses got broken in a toddler related incident. Also, I work outside a lot and we live in the deep south so glasses were out and sunblock/sweat streaked contacs were just horrid.

Had the lasik surgery a few years back with 18 mos to pay, no interest and the only downside is that I can now clearly see what I look like in the shower.

No more contacs, no supplies, no glasses, no nuthin'!

regards,
leslie

AMEN! I use an electric blanket in my bed, an electric throw out in the living room. Best things ever, and so much cheaper than running the furnace, which doesn't work nearly as well anyway.

I have the brooks running shoes as well, and have ran two marathons on them without any trouble. (dif. pairs) Running shoes also let you spend your time running instead of watching tv and being brainwashed by the marketing the tv shoves down your throat.

Maybe a little snotty, but we can't do without good, solid cookware. Le Creuset costs just gobs and gobs of money, but you'll use it forever -- and aside from all its cooking virtues like evenness of heating, ease for cleaning, etc. -- it looks really nice.

J Crew sweaters. They cost a bundle, but they are very warm and they last forever. For cold-blooded lil me, it's worth it.

If you have a corporation a good lawyer will save you money. Also personally I think renting an apartment in a safe area opposed to a more crime-laden area will also save you money.

Tuesday Morning has them every couple of months for quite a bit less then buying them at a gourmet shop. One of their casserole dishes is on my list of things to get.
I love our cast iron pieces but they are a pain to keep rust free all the time.

Good tools that will do the task they were meant to do easily, and without breaking are worth their weight in gold. Combine that with the savings for doing it yourself, and I cannot think of a better investment. The trick is to only buy a tool when you need it, buy a quality tool, and plan ahead enough to find a good price on it.
