Bowling works out expensive here generally because my son gets frustrated because he can't play properly and it's $8 per game. I think they have family evenings though, maybe it would be worth having a go on those so he could watch other people bowling and learn. I'm as bad as it as my son is, lol.

Bowling sure costs more in NZ. It is usually pretty cheap around the midwest.
One of our local parks has horseshoe pits I know some other cities have Bocce or lawn bowling for free.

Yeah it is expensive, but it's offset by the beautiful bush and countryside, that only costs the price of petrol. Besides that, Johnny Depp was at Piha beach this week, what a nice surprise meeting him would be, lol :0)
