Or you could buy it at Sams. They sell some sort of multi-pack of KY there in a huge sealed flat blister pack (the kind you have to cut open with scissors). It had to have been about 1ft by nearly 2ft with bright orange cardboard backing and "KY" in huge letters on the package. I swear someone in product marketing did it as a joke or KY is a high theft item at Sams.

Default The ultimate frugal sex

Loving someone of the same sex - if you're female, that is!

Of course, for those who really can't take a chance on a pregnancy, a basic, generic birth control pill isn't really that expensive if you have insurance and is probably worth the cost of the co-pay.
Planned Parenthood will offer you a pro-rated payment plan for birth control pills (and actually most gynecologist visits, etc.) if you have no insurance or a low income. They also have free condoms. Planned Parenthood was amazingly good to me when I worked a previous job at a Catholic university where the insurance specified that it wouldn't cover contraceptives.

Or you could go the totally free, 100% effective route - self control/abstinence. If you REALLY can't afford a baby or STD, why take a chance? Would you buy a car that was 98% reliable?

Alot of things you use today are less than 98% reliable as well? Are you going to stop using them?

Depends on what they are and what the consequence of failure is.

If "failure" means an STD for life - yes.

If "failure" means having to wash the clothes again because the stain stick wasn't quite up to par, well, I'll take my chances.
