| Member | I do believe that different types of plastics can leach chemicals into water, especially if they weren't meant to hold water (ie a trash can).

Reputation: | Ah, I suppose that would make sense, probably not a good idea to dump toxins on your garden. How exactly does one locate a local co-op? |

You can google "co-op" "your town". That will bring up ones near you. Also you could always search on craigslist.com or do like lucille is doing and asking coke plants, or any food factory near you or even like she said, a bakery or something. I'm sure you will be able to find one.

Reputation: | True, that is a GREAT line. Kav, love the newish picture. Please keep the rain barrel tips a-coming...I'm trying to figure out the cheap, safe and not-too-difficult way to build one. |

Reputation: | What exactly do you need to do to "build" a rain barrel? Can't you just stick said barrel under the gutter spout? |

I guess you could go as simple as sticking a barrel under the spout. But you would still have to cut or remove the gutter and you would need a lid or screen or something to keep the trash out. And you wouldn't be able to hook a hose up to it to water. But the main idea is still there, so I would say go for it! @ Khorrell-Thanks for the compliment!
