Reputation: | Didn't find a new dog walker when ours moved - I'm working from home more (glad I have the option to) and doing the walking myself. I'm not buying patio bird seed any more (it was hulled so not supposed to sprout). I can pull the weeds from the less expensive brand. That may sound silly but the patio blend was over $25 a bag and a drive to pick it up. Cancelled all wine clubs and have limited the amount of wine we buy. Plan out meals so that when I go to the store I'm not buying random stuff. Plus I'm using up what I have in the pantry already (lentils, beans, barley etc). Making our own fresh mozzarella and pasta and bread. Didn't renew our subscriptions to magazines that weren't useful (not cooking) and the WSJ. I may not renew my subscription to Gourmet and Bon Appetit since I can get the recipes online for free and they don't have many vegetarian ones anyways. We're working on water conservation too - especially since we're in a drought now. |
