How I got $30 in free gift cards from Target

Target periodically runs an ad where they offer a $10 gift card for a new prescription. I was in last week with a "new" prescription for 3 meds. It really wasn't new since I had been taking those meds for about a year. My doctor writes out all of her scripts on a paper pad rather than calling more in when your refills run out. So because it was technically new all three on the piece of paper qualified as a new prescription under the offer. So I received a $10 gift card for each item.

The $10 giftcard offer was in the previous week's flyer. I don't know the expiration date of it. They do run that offer about 4 times a year.

That's great! I don't think most stores give multiple $10 cards...or did you have multiple coupons?
I got one $10 card last week when I picked up my drugs before my knee surgery. That was a nice consolation for having to have the surgery.

I didn't even have the coupon. I saw it in the online ad but figured I didn't qualify because I had a previous script there for the same drugs. They just gave me the 3 $10 gift cards for the 3 new scripts without even asking. I certainly wasn't going to complain, it covered the cost of the meds since one is slightly expensive.
