Ebay is a great place to make a bit of side money. Just find something you enjoy selling and import it or buy from a distributer. You can even make it fairly passive if pay someone to ship the items for you.

I used to sell items on Ebay, what I would do is go to the Wal-Marts and Targets and look for items on clearance and then sell them on Ebay. It worked pretty good for a little extra side money.

I agree that using your hobby can be a great way to make some extra money. I love to woodwork and have taken jobs building various things for people including a bunch of bookshelves for a school library. What I got out of it was about $1.25 an hour for my time and soured my desire to woodwork for about a year.

Myself I sell everything I can get my hands on using eBay. You don't have to interact with flaky people like on Craigslist, and at the very least you have recourse if things go wrong. There's always the odd job and seasonal employment. It's fair season you can go burn some corndogs for a few bucks. I just wrote about that this week btw.

In order for one to work extra money he/she should consider the following:

1. What are my talents?
2. Are there demands for my talents?
3. Will I be able to do the extra work for my talents to be successful?

All of us have talents that we can use to make extra income but the hard work that it need to make it a success sometimes place fear in us. Look at what you are giving away for free and put it into money income for yourself.

Look into garage sales, they are a gold mine. Then re-sell it locally on sites like Kijiji or on ebay. Someone is always willing to buy the stuff that others throw out.
