| Junior Member | I've been making extra income online for years now, averaging about $100 extra per month for investing only 5 minutes every other day. If you are interested, feel free in contacting me for details.

Reputation: | I hadn't really heard about earning money this way, but it seems like a fair amount of work and hassle for little reward. One kid in our neighborhood collects returnable cans and bottles at construction sites and sports events here in town, and he's raking in $20-30, sometimes more, a week. Granted not something nice and clean you can do at any time of the night or day in the comfort of your own home... Any other at-home earning ideas out there??

Reputation: | I am a member of PineCone Research, which pays $3/survey. Unlike other surveys online, they pay out instantly, not when you reach some arbitrary number. Usually, I get the check a week after taking the survey, and now that I've switched to PayPal, I receive payment the day after I complete a survey. I receive 2-3 paid surveys a month, and have had months where I had 1-2 per week. It isn't much, but I add what I do make straight to my emergency savings. I have been selected to refer PineCone to interested households. Let me know if you are interested! |

Reputation: | This is not *directly* a money earning activity, but it gets you gift cards which are almost the same thing. I'm a member of MyPoints, and by clicking on emails you get points. The points can then be redeemed for giftcards to a whole bunch of major retailers (target, Old navy, Barnes and Noble). I spend maybe 10 minutes per week clicking on emails, 'earning' about 100 points per week (5 per email, sometimes more). You can increase your points by buying things through the site, but you don't have to. For example, a $10 Target giftcard is worth 1450 points. So it takes a while to reach, but it's very low hassle. And it almost seems like 'free' money- just for reading emails.

Reputation: | Thank you for that AlmostFrugal. I've always been a bit suspicious of those types of programs. It is nice to know that it actually works for real people. |

Reputation: | I have only used inboxdollars.com, but the thing that I don;t like about them is: 1. You are asked to prequalify and after several minutes of filling in information they tell you that you don’t and you don’t get any money either 2. Whenever you reach $30 payout they take out a $3 processing fee. Of course if you wait till you get $100 the fee would still be $3.

Reputation: | If you're going to sign up with a survey site, make sure that you do your research online first. A quick Google search online will allow you to see what other people think about it. You will want to make sure that they are getting paid as well. A lot of companies pay, but you're going to have to rely on referrals as well, if you really want to capitalize your income.

Reputation: | Chiming in late, here, but I've been using eRewards.com for probably about a year now, perhaps less. It's definitely legit, but expect more "perks" than actual income -- the rewards come in the form of mostly magazine subscriptions, airline miles, and rewards points, with a few gift certificates thrown in for good measure. So far I've traded in my earnings for free used DVDs from Blockbuster (liked this quite a lot!) magazine subscriptions for my husband and a friend, and I just recently traded in more for a $25 FTD.com gift certificate (which is great, because they have tons of arrangements for $35 and under.) Even when you don't qualify for a survey (which does happen) you frequently still get .50 or so just for taking the time to try. It does add up, and doesn't take more than a few minutes of your time. Some are fun -- previews of television shows or movie trailers, for instance. |
