Reputation: | We do the change jar thing also. It is our vacation fund. When it is full we cash it in and use that money towards a cheap weekend somewhere for the family out of town. We quit buying bottled water. We bought a countertop distiller and reuseable plastic sports bottles. It saves money vs. bottled water, no piles of empty plastic bottles to recycle and no trips to the store when we run out. Since a flat of bottled water is $8.00 many places, buying bottled just became way too expensive. |
