Default Internet Television

I've been hearing y'all talk about internet TV, and I'm curious. Where should I look to find out more?

Thanks!

I've been watching TV shows and movies on Hulu which is great. The commercials are shorter than commercial breaks on TV and you can watch several episodes in one sitting. They seem to have all the episodes for older shows and just 5 or 6 of the most recent for current shows.

You can also see recent episodes of a lot of current shows at the networks' websites like: (Battlestar Galactica)

We have been gathering more links to video sites lately. Some have better quality than others. Archive.org has lots of old films and tv, if your into that kind of thing. Beeline carries many of the international channels that you can get from free to air KU band sat tv. Livenewscameras is interesting and might be useful if we ever have another nationwide event or weather disaster since it has so many multiple resources.

Amazon also has some free downloads in their video section. I also noticed HULU has added more movies to their selections, some of them newer movies.

Fancast also has a good amount of content.

Itunes occasionally has some free content that can be downloaded. And, of course, along with Amazon Unboxed has much that can be purchased.

For the sites that stream content for free, I like the interface on Hulu the best. The quality of the video and reliability of the site seems to be the best overall. And they do have a large variety of programming.

All of the sites previously mentioned have content that originally aired on television. There are a number of productions that are internet based, some of the more well known are Quarterlife, The Guild and the upcoming Joss Whedon project Dr Horrible's Sing-along Blog. I'm very interested to see where these and other internet projects go. Personally, I think that at least some will crossover to television. Quarterlife tried but failed. Sanctuary is headed for Scifi. And, eventually, I think that a good number of internet only series will be available.

There are some interesting things to be found on Youtube too.

There is a series called Silent Library. I don't know if it is internet only or if it ever actually aired in Japan. The show revolves around a group of guys go to a library and then have to do various college humor type pranks to each other but they can't make any noise. We sat and watched most of the Youtube episodes on a Friday night.
