A slice of whole grain bread with a bit of crunchy organic peanut butter. Mmm. I also love bananas because they're filling. Apples are also delicious, as well as cut bell peppers.

Popcorn! Has fiber and surprisingly few calories. Just don't add butter and excess salt.

I am a health conscious person too. Well, there are actually a lot of choices that you can choose from.. Oats are my favorite. Use instant oats so you don't have the worry of cooking it. Sweet potatoes would also fill you up for hours.

Peanut butter on crackers is my favorite snack! You can make you own little packs of cracker sandwiches pretty cheap, and use a nice wheat/whole grain cracker instead of a plain ritz type to up your fiber content!

I also recommend raw vegetables and fruits. If you don't have access to a refrigerator, try cherry tomatoes. They don't require refrigeration.

one of my favorites is a berry dessert - blueberries, raspberries, strawberries all mixed together with some whipping cream and some low fat yogurt. MMM...

When my sister and I were in our dieting stage, we really liked rice cakes. I think the brand was Quakers, same as the oatmeal brand. They have them in various flavors and are quite low calorie. Our favorite flavor was chocolate, and there was also Apple Cinnamon and quite a few others.

We've discovered though that dieting really doesn't work - it may work in the short run, but you often gain it all back as soon as you get off. So we've stopped depriving ourselves, and have found our weight and appetite to have leveled off. In the days when we were dieting and depriving ourselves, if we ever fell off the wagon, we fell off bad - i.e. eat 1/2 a cake in one evening or a whole bag of chocolates in a day. Now that we've stopped depriving ourselves, we'll buy a bag of chocolates and occasionally have one or two and the bag lasts for a month. We no longer always feel hungry and don't weigh much more than when we were always struggling to lose weight. Of course we still have to make healthy food choices and exercise, but life is a lot easier and happier when you're no longer "not allowed" to eat this or that.

Good luck.
