Great thread!

I shop all the time. I always look at the weekly flyer for the two supermarkets that are near my house. We also have a bread outlet where I buy all my bread and rolls. I also shop at a local dent and bent store and have gotten some great deals (usually snacky type stuff) there.

Whether you shop weekly or monthly the best money saver is to have a meal plan and a list and to only deviate from it if you see a great deal FOR A MEAL. Then you can swap it with a meal from your list.

In my neck of the woods, the biggest deals seems to be designed to entice you to buy more junk you don't need (the kind of purchases that won't be on your list) - and the more you shop the more of these deals you are tempted to buy unless you have a proper shopping list.
