I have a filter question, as well. We have a washable filter. I take it out every few month and hose it down in the tub. Is that OK, good or bad? I'd be glad to switch if a disposable filter is better.

Have 2 washable filters, one in one out. I'm not fond of sticking wet filters back in the furnace.
