Would you do it? |

Reputation: | I wouldn't necessarily say immoral, but I would say difficult for most people, same as selling on ebay. |

Reputation: | Selling stuff you don't actually have yet sounds like a good way to get bitten in the ass. The author says to deal in new, unsealed items, but also says to make sure that the item is not defective -- how does that work? Also, this would only work for readily available products -- if you're dealing with a hard-to-find item, there is a good chance you won't be able to find the item once you've secured a buyer, much less at a lower price. I've seen this happen to someone trying to buy a rare, out-of-print book: Seller: "I have this rare book for $80. You can't find this for under $100 anywhere else! This is such a totally great deal!" Buyer: "OK, I'll take it!" Seller: "OK, it's yours!" A week later: Buyer: "Hey, about that book..." Seller: "Oh right, yes, that book is on its way to you." Buyer: "OK." A week later: Buyer: "Where the hell is my book?" Seller: <crickets> Even later: Buyer: "I want my money back." Seller: "Oh, we're so sorry! We were out of town, but we're sending that book to you right now." Even later-er: Buyer: "What is this crap? You sent me a new hardcover horror novel, not the rare book I ordered. I can buy this at Barnes & Noble for eight dollars, you jerk." Seller: <crickets> Conclusion: No, you can't find that book for under $100 anywhere. And the seller couldn't do it either, which was apparently a big surprise to them for some reason. Failure to procure the item, resulting in negative feedback and a reputation for dishonesty, is the risk you run if you sell stuff you don't actually have. Needless to say I won't be trying this any time soon. |

Reputation: | Thanks for the nice tip! Probably what I can suggest to earn additional money is to take up freelance jobs online. There are lots of jobs now that almost anyone with interest, and a PC at home, can do. You can continue with your day job, and after you get home you can still do some work on your computer to earn extra cash. i know the home is supposed to be spent with family, but at least online or at home jobs are better than having an extra shift or a second full time job. In this case you can work while spending time with your family. Here's a blog that may be of some help to you guys in case you are interested in taking this up. http://makeyourownmoney101.blogspot.com/ Hope this helps! |

1. Sell hot item on Craigslist. Point out to people what a great item this is, and how you're offering it at below price and everything. 2. Obtain buyer. Lie to them about not being able to get the item to them right away because the dog ate your homework, something like that -- definitely not "oh that? I don't actually have one yet, but I can totally get one". 3. Find someone else selling hot item on Craigslist for WAY LESS than what you offered to sell it for. 4. Buy hot item from that seller, making sure to lowball them good and proper. 5. Receive hot item from seller and give it to the buyer from step 2. Hope like hell that it isn't defective/not as advertised. | |

Reputation: | I think everyone wants to earn a decent living online but not at the expense of another person. I mean unscrupulous ways of making money abound these days, but the point is, are you willing to take the plunge yourself? I'd rather earn an honest, decent amount of money a day or every month without having to step into someone else's toes. Simply put, although this tactic works, but unfortunately, this is not for me. |

Reputation: | Why is selling on Ebay difficult? I don't usually have a problem with selling products on Ebay.
