Reputation: | Sorry, posted before I finished. I have sold items via Craigslist. no waiting days on either side of transaction. Just have to get the right buyer/seller combination. |

Reputation: | I have sold lots of trinkets I have picked up over the years, on my own and through others. People often give me souveniers from vacations and eventually they end up in a junk drawer. I've parted with many a keychain, pin, and magnet via e-bay sales. It doesn't earn me much money, but the extra few dollars is still nice to have. After all, one man's trash is another man's treasure, so I think of it as a win-win. |

Reputation: | I have sold some things I won in contests and sweepstakes. You would be surprised but you can actually win some pretty nice things via sweepstakes.

| Member | I haven't had any hesitation buying clothing on eBay. It just gets washed before it is worn, but I do that for brand new clothes too. It's worked out so well I haven't bought pants & shirts in a regular store for several years now. I'm also a seller on eBay (since 1999) which started when I needed to empty the family home of stuff after my parents' passed, then I started gong to estate sales for more odds and ends when I realized stuff that people wanted. It gave me a few hundred dollars each month extra spending money. |

Reputation: | I've sold a couple of handbags and a wallet on ebay, but these days buyers are scared to buy designer accessories (i.e., LV) since ebay is infested with tons of fakes and scams. The brands I sold are lesser known designers/boutique brands with a loyal fanbase, so I lucked out. I've sold shoes but only in lots (2-3 pairs at once) because otherwise I feel my generic black heels will get lost in the sea of shoes. I would love to put up my random stuff onto ebay, but with the listing fees being so high, it doesn't seem worth it. Better to list things on amazon or half for free. |

Reputation: | I started selling my own period authentic 70s and 80s clothes when vintage was back in style a few years ago. To get top dollar, I had to only sell items that were in style. |

Reputation: | I like selling CDs and DVDs on Ebay. I get slightly more money there than at the local shops and they're cheap to ship. I wanted to sell a pile of books, but they have almost zero resale value so they're going into the garage sale instead. If I lived closer to a post office I'd probably try selling everything that's not bolted down. |

Reputation: | I'm cleaning out my apartment (and lost my job) so I've been selling off part of my CD collection and some books. I don't get alot for the CDs, but I make a few bucks, especially if I sell them in small lots of 4 or 6 of a similar theme or band. Some of my books are doing well depending on the subject and rarity. I have antique books and books on antiques which are doing fairly well - some are out of print. I also am selling off some Wedgwood and good quality knick knacks. It is helping me to declutter and pay for some groceries. |

Reputation: | I sold antiques and collectibles over the summer. In fact, I just wrote a blog post about how I did it. You can see it at http://independentbeginnings.com/?p=127. |
