Red face What would you buy if you could max out all of your credit cards in one day?

I had a dream last night that I went out and maxed all my credit cards in one day! What a day it was, though! Because I took advantage of some sign up bonuses, I have seven credit cards, 6 of which I don't use. I added it up this morning, and it comes to a total of 97 thousand dollars available for borrowing!

I bought a complete set of new furniture for the house, new dishes and pots and pans for the kitchen. It was wild!

Anyone ever have this kind of dream? I hope I don't dream about the day after I max out all my credit cards tonight. What a nightmare that would be.

It would have to be a free cup of coffee - I don't have any credit cards.

Good for you!
I got most of these because of the sign up bonuses. The one I use, I 1) pay off every month, and 2) get 2% rebate applied directly to the principal on my mortgage.

It is dangerous to have them, though, because of identity theft, or temptation!

They are just not for me.

-I hate owing money.
-I am good at losing small things.
-I am bad at keeping up with bills unless they are on auto draft, and I don't have to think about them.
-I use the cash/envelope system which works really well for me.
-I only spend about $15k a year total on everything. A lot of that stuff (especially the big hitters like property taxes, and auto/home insurance) charges a fee for using a credit card, so that alone would cancel out any cash back bonus that I may get.

Wow for the first time in my life, I cannot think of anything I want that badly. That speaks volumes!! Thanks for the thought provoking question!!

I wouldn't buy anything on a credit card unless I was utterly desperate. If I didn't have to pay it back? I would buy an electric car or a plug in Prius.

I am a fan of credit cards, but I pay them off every month. I can't think of anything that would cause me to be willing to max out my credit cards! I can't even think of anything that would make me willing to carry a balance over one month (unless there was a zero percent interest deal).

I'd rather max out the CCs for travel rather than buying material things. I'd go to Europe.

If I HAD to choose actual items it would be new furniture.

I don't have credit cards. So... nothing.
Now, if I had a million dollars tax free and I had 24 hours in which to spend it, oh you'd better believe I'd do it somehow! There is a Cartier and a Rolex store downtown.

haha my credit limit is really low and I have a total of 4 cards. So hmm.. even if I maxed all of them out, I think I can buy maybe a $10000 plasma.
