Default Are you cutting your budget?

Definitely! It's the only way to survive. We've paid off every credit card but the one with zero interest. Refinancing our mortgage - that should save about $300.00 per month. No longer eat out. We've always shopped at discount stores, but now careful about what we buy there - It has to be a need. Planting a huge garden - That should keep the kids busy pulling weeds. Built a solar hot water system. My husband has severe health problems and will probably be on disability before the end of 2009.

Well, yes and no. I'm cutting spending in the sense that I always cut spending, and I'm not cutting spending in the sense that I always cut spending. I try to keep all my expenses to a minimum at all times, and the holidays are no exception. This year, however, I implemented a "no-spend" policy between Thanksgiving and New Year's, wherein I can spend nothing on frivolous things, only on the essentials, if even that.

I'm not cutting back; in fact I'm spending more in business expenses. It's less than thrilling because it's not "fun" money.
