Reputation: | I ended up getting five pairs of new jeans for my daughter for $32. They were the designer type ones with all the decoration on them. Gordmans had a big rack of jeans that were already marked down to around $12 each and then 50% off of that. I would have spent more than $32 for one pair at Limited Too. So what was your recent big bargain?? |

Reputation: | A futon frame, a desk chair and three wheeled stools, all for under $100. It's a nice find because the futon frame is a loveseat rather than a couch, which means it won't dominate my tiny living room. I will have to reupholster the stools, but that's my idea of fun. It's really made a difference in how well we can accommodate guests. The desk chair is the kind of that is designed to rock back, which means my son won't crack his head on the door frame again next time he decides to lean back in his chair! |

Reputation: | This weekend, I got a very gently used futon for $30. I want to get a new cover for it, since I don't like the current one at all, so that will make the deal not quite as good. I also got a 19 inch flat screen (not flat panel) computer monitor for $30. not quite as good of a deal, but it is a nice monitor and definitely a step up from what I had. Both items came from a guy at my work who is returning to England and had to sell some of his apartment furnishings. Over the years, I've gotten a lot of furniture and a few electronics in similar "repatriation sales". |

Reputation: | We found the 75% off clothing clearance racks at Target two weekends ago. I think my quick-dry athletic shirt purchase was the most expensive item at just under $6. Everything else (three shirts for my fiancee, and a two pairs of pants for me) averaged under $5. Not our cheapest outing ever, but we didn't pay full price anyhow since we used some free gift cards. I actually wrote a blog entry about that shopping trip. |

Reputation: | I got a Lenovo Thinkpad R61e with the processor and memory specs I wanted for under $800. I'm an IBM shareholder so I got the shareholder discount, which they're apparently still handing out even though their Thinkpad division had been spun out a long time ago. In addition, there were two special holiday discounts and free shipping. All in all, it was about 50% below the usual price, a significant savings in dollar amount. That was in December. In January, I got $6 pants at Target, which was a bigger savings in percentage terms but not in dollar amount. |

Reputation: | I haven't had any good bargains lately, but I've been giving them away. I'm decluttering my house and just gave away two bags of fabric, an entire crib set, a trash bag of children's clothing, and a bunch of furnature that was collecting dust in my garage. I think I'm about to be popular. |
