Your Memphis is sitting pretty right now, but my Xavier is going all.the.way this year. It's gonna happen

Michigan State (my alma mater) FTW! If they can play like they did against Indiana last weekend, it is possible. I love this time of year!

The Muskateers can have 2nd this year (they are my dad's alma mater), but 1st place is locked up!

I really like Tom Izzo. It would be nice to see the Spartans make a run.

Also, not sure how you feel about former Xavier coach Pete Gillen, but he is a hoot as an announcer on CSTV (soon to be rebranded as CBS College Sports Network). He has some great one liners - 'Duke is on TV more than Leave it to Beaver Reruns'.

Why wouldn't I adore him, he won a lot of games and elevated the team to a great extent!? I guess those New Yawkers can seem brash to some people, but I like straight-forward people. He's a great talking head, too--much better than many of the other morons that can only offer regurgitated lines. And I suppose you like him even more now that his pick for champs this year was Memphis?

Wow, I actually had no idea he picked Memphis. I just like announcers with a lot of personality, and he is growing on me. One of my favorites is Bill Rafferty. Hearing him say "Early Onions' after a big time play in the tournament gets me going every time.
