I have grilled in the cold and snow in the past, but it just isn't enjoyable. I don't even like stepping outside when it is below 40, so I'm not going to be bothered to try and cook a meal out in it.

The best part of grilling is the social aspect. Hanging out with friends or family out on the deck, enjoying the sunny weather, throwing back a few cold brews... When you take that out of the equation it loses its fun, even if the food tastes better.

Lol, once again I must have a different sort of friends. Cause the only thing that changes is what we're wearing and how cold it is when we grill. We still hang out on the deck and knock them back And snow makes a great beer holder, lol.

Add me to the list of people who hate cold weather. Whenever I see it snowing I'm like, "awww crap!" Especially if I haven't gotten all my christmas shopping done by then...

Afterwards, when I got holiday till new years, I do like looking out the window and seeing how amazing the fresh snow looks on the houses and trees... Inside where it's warm and I have some fresh coffee... Yeah that's nice.

Thank god I live in one of the milder parts of north america where the snow melts super fast.

Oh, I thought of another one!

If you go to the grocery store, and then get home, if you have to do something else, besides bringing in the groceries, then it is no problem! You can leave the groceries in the car all afternoon! What are they going to do, get cold?

Well, I enjoy waking up to 8-12 inches of new snow that you can sweep away with a broom. When I finish clearing my sundeck, I put on my shorts, stretch out in the hammock, and work on my tan. Now that is my idea of winter!!

Default Yeah I Miss Frost Bite But.......

I grew up in the Midwest. I refer to it as "Real Winter" as opposed to Vegas, where cold weather is like today where we didn't hit 80 degrees. I remember back in Chicago, staying home a lot more in the winter and paying off my credit card. Now I hibernate in the summer and really enjoy the month of October. Cold weather cities may be..well... cold, but come spring and summer they turn a shade of green that you just can't recreate out here in the desert.

Default Bugs

Bugs, man.

I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI and now live in Seattle, WA. Some of the great joys of living in a colder climate are: leaving food out for more than thirty seconds without attracting a bunch of big roaches, falling asleep without having a roach drop onto your face from the ceiling, and walking around outside at night without having at least one roach run over your feet or fly into your hair.

Maybe this was particularly bad at my house because we had outdoor dogs -- but man, do I not miss those roaches. I haven't seen a single one since moving up here. Did I mention the bastards can fly? Ick.

Can you say..."Palmetto Bugs"?? lol
They say that "cock-roaches" are the only thing that can survive a nuclear explosion. That is not true. There is one more thing that will be left after the blast...ME, with a big fly swatter! I hate bugs!!

I have lived in Miami, Houston, Phoenix, Cali (Colombia) and other tropical places. I love the sun, tennis and the beach. But if I had to be totally honest, I have to admit that one of the primary reasons I have always returned to the Rockies in Colorado is because I HATE BUGS! No, I do not "get used to them", "accept them as part of the package", "think about their neccessity in the big picture", "believe that spiders are 'good bugs', "I'm not a sissy" or "paranoid"...

I just have a few rules...If there is a mosquito, fly, cockroach, or anything in the room that is under 2" tall and either crawls or flies...EVERYBODY is awake until it is killed! For those of you who reply with..."oh, bugs are everywhere", I have one clarification..."Not at my house"...lol

So, yes cold is a good thing in some aspects.

The other great thing about living in any city that has a cold climate...>>They all have airports and liquor stores...lol
