Default Business Finance Credit Crunch Ideas?

I have been reading throught the posts related to frugality at home, but I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for at work?

The business where I work has only just started to feel the pressure of these time, directly through the failure of debtors to make payements and indirectly through a drop in consumer confidence.

Just wondered if any of you had stumbled upon any ideas for riding this out.

Cheers,

Well, unless your in a position within the company to actually affect the way the company runs, I don't think there's much you can do. Unless you're referring to avoiding being laid off, in which case there are quite a few articles out there.

My top 3 ideas to help your company save on costs is:

1. First your company needs to look at it's current expenses. If you're spending money on third-party vendors, look for opportunities to pull that in-house.
2. If your company has multiple offices or sales people traveling on location, you could eliminate that expense by using a webinar service, such as GoToWebinar.com.
3. Go paperless! Many companies waste a ton of money on copies and print-outs that just end up in the trash. You'll save money and help the environment.

Hope this helps.

I agree with this.
Plus we have to get more organise in everything.
We are always in cycle. So, when there is boom, there will be doom.
If we can hang on in the next few years, things gotta get better.
Finger cross.

Going paperless would probably be the biggest one. So much money wasted on things that don't need to be printed.

Now that we are in a recession/credit crunch/depression, perhaps wanting to start a new business might seem a bit of a daft idea, but is it really? People are still spending money you just have to find out what and where they are spending it.
