| Junior Member | Met my fiancee on Yahoo (not Yahoo personals). We've been together for over three years, and have been living together for the last 6 months. Wedding plans are currently underway, although we already consider ourselves married. |

Reputation: | Like I said in a different post, my brother met his wife via eHarmony. Come to think of it, if I were suddenly single again, I'd have no idea what to do to meet someone, and would probably look online after a while! |

Reputation: | The closest I've ever come to marriage was with a man that I had met online. We weren't using personals, though; we met on an X-Men forum that I created and maintained. We had corresponded in a casual atmosphere online for nearly a year (as well as private emails) before meeting in person. As far as dating sites go- I've had a few dates, but have been disappointed on the whole. I am currently corresponding with a potential relationship found on a personals site, so I'll just have to see how that goes. |

Reputation: | I only know of one couple (who are married) and who met through one of these dating sites. Its not common, but it does happen. I dont see anything wrong with it, just another way to meet new people. |

Reputation: | I have met several people on match.com and yahoo personals. I have no luck with eharmony because they don't show your profile immediately just a picture and a teaser. I have also met a few people on plentyoffish.com, it's totally free and so is okcupid.com. I refuse to pay for the dating sites once I found these two. They have many people to choose from locally too. |

Reputation: | I met a guy online several years ago. I liked that I could choose exactly which demographics I wanted. One guy met my criteria. We ended up dating for a year, and would have married but for his desire for children. (I already have two.) I think the sites are more comprehensive now, so you could find that sort of thing out before the 20th date... |

Reputation: | I dated a guy for a while who I had met through an online dating site. He was really nice, but we lived in two different countries and I was moving to a third.
