id say everybody uses facebook. strangely enough i dont use any apps. well nawt realli.
they seem like a waste time. funny enough there making facebook an even more waste of time, but i can't get off of it :O .

I have facebook and have tons of apps (most of which I don't really use but added just b/c my friends sent invites), but one of my favorites is Growing Gifts and Hatching Eggs.

I'm on facebook...I know quite a few other personal finance bloggers on their as well. I haven't done much with applications, but I do play the Personal Finance Challenge game quite a bit (I helped a little with the development!).

Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook, but I do think that its potential as a platform for applications is interesting. Perhaps this is obvious after my recent article on the topic here at Wise Bread.

Anyway, in my research I have come across several other applications that might be useful for financially minded Facebook users:

For tracking stocks, the Stocks application, powered by Forbes, and the Yahoo! Finance application are both sure bets. If you are interested in investing but unwilling or unable to put up your own hard-earned cash, the Fantasy Stock Exchange application can be a fun experiment.

If you are looking for an easier way to keep track of spending between a group of friends or roommates, the Split It application can be very useful. Of course, for making or receiving payments, you need to go no farther than the Paypal application.

If you are looking for a social networking site dedicated to personal finance, I strongly recommend joining Wesabe, which also provides a fully-featured platform for budgeting and tracking spending.

Yeah i hear that im kinda new to the facebook scene i have the Brain, Bowling, Stickers, Bumper Stickers and my new favorite the One Minute Mogul http://apps.facebook.com/oneminutemogul

I'm on facebook.. The main applications I have are Pet Pupz (I can't have a real dog because of my living arrangements so this works) and (Lil) Green Patch. I have 1 bumper sticker too. I don't really actively seek out any applications.

I wrote a post on Facebook and why I would not join it. Mostly because I don't think its worth the time. Plus when a new king rises, Facebook will fall by the side like MySpace.

I have a Facebook, mostly just to have one when people ask. I believe I have one app maybe? I think they are a bit lame and tedious to load on older computers so I steer clear unless they can prove they are worth the wait.
