Hmm I'll have to check that one out!

I LOVE movies. I don't watch as many as I'd like (we limit ourselves to renting a movie every couple of months now). Here are some of my favorites in no particular order:

Dr. Strangelove
In the Name of the Father
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Dancer in the Dark
Stand By Me
Jaws
Kids
Dream with the Fishes
American Graffiti
The Piano
Annie Hall
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Citizen Kane
The Graduate
What The Bleep Do We Know?
Gone With The Wind
Harrison's Flowers
The Goonies
Life as a House
E.T.

I had better stop there. I could go on for ages.

Oh, man. I have a full list ready for this:

Shaun of the Dead
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Little Miss Sunshine
The Emperor's New Groove
Edward Scissorhands
Harry Potter III and V
Clerks
Pirates of the Caribbean
Donnie Darko
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Hot Fuzz
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Survive Style 5+
Cashback
Up series

I like a lot of other movies, but these are the films that I can watch over and over and over again. In fact, I used to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail everyday I came home from school for a stretch of time in 7th grade. It was weird.

At the risk of taking a lot of flack from other posters...

Pursuit of Happyness is a WILDLY OVERRATED MOVIE. It's a better than average movie, sure, but a couple years from now... It'll be long gone from people's lists in a few years, mark my words!

I'm a little surprised "Neverending Story" isn't on more lists.

I must admit, my sister and I used to copy that "house riding" scene (with her doing the clip clop noises). We were young'uns. Years later, while in grad school, I was thrilled when I heard a fellow student say, "I'm not quite dead!" Lines like that just stick in your head.

On that same note, I will go out on a limb and say Zoolander is one of my favorites. I laugh myself sick every time it comes on cable.

Alright, some other faves-
All the 'Bourne" movies
Gladiator
The Empire Strikes Back
Closer (utterly depressing yet I still love it)
Chungking Express
Audition
Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version- ok, that's TV series)

American History X, V for Vendetta, Inside Man, Fight Club, Clockwork Orange (which had a totally different meaning than the book) and Superbad. American History X, Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, and V for Vendetta are all great eye-openers, but the rest are just entertainment.

Pulp Fiction and The Usual Suspects are definitely a few of my favorites. I like most of Samuel Jackson's movies.

I am young-ish (I like to think I am anyway) but my favorite movie of all time is 'Annie Hall'

Close second is Fritz Lang's incredible 'Metropolis'

I have two all time favorite movies....the first is Whatever Happened to Baby Jane with Bette Davis & Joan Crawford. The other one is The Crow with Brandon Lee.
